Who Can Sign Up
The WTC Health Registry is a comprehensive health survey of those most directly exposed to the events of 9/11. You should enroll in the WTC Health Registry if you are one of the:

  • People who were in a building, on the street, or on the subway south of Chambers Street on 9/11/01.
  • People involved in rescue, recovery, clean up or other activities at the WTC site and/or WTC Recovery Operations on Staten Island any time between 9/11/01 and 6/30/02.
  • Students and staff enrolled in schools (pre K-12) or day care centers south of Canal Street on 9/11/01.
  • People who were living south of Canal Street on 9/11/01.

You don't need to be a New York City resident to enroll — many people from outside New York City were near the WTC site on 9/11. Thousands commuted to or visited New York City from the greater metropolitan area, including:

  • New Jersey
  • Long Island
  • Upstate New York
  • Connecticut
  • Pennsylvania

Volunteers from all over the country came to the WTC site to help in the rescue and recovery effort. If you currently live outside New York City and believe you are eligible for the WTC Health Registry, pre-register online, or call 1-866-NYC-WTCR (1-866-692-9827) to enroll.
