Owners and tenants may obtain additional information and assistance regarding notification procedures and Department of Health regulations as well as Annual Notice To Tenant or Occupant forms (Appendix B) or by calling 311:
Tenants may report non-complying owners or improperly installed window guards by calling the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene at 311.
Tenants or owners with questions about the temporary surcharge a landlord may collect from a tenant for each window guard installed should call the Division of Housing and Community Renewal's Rent Infoline at: 718-739-6400 or visit their local Borough Rent Office.
