Commissioner's Orders

A Commissioner's Order can be issued to patients with suspected or active pulmonary TB who are repeatedly non-adherent to TB treatment. These orders mandate increasingly restrictive measures ranging from examination to placement on directly observed therapy (DOT), to long-term detention (as a last resort).
