Chest centers provide a complete range of state-of-the-art tuberculosis (TB) services all under one roof. Our center hours are convenient and include evenings and Saturdays. All services are free to the patient and confidential.
Free Services Provided at Chest Centers
- • TB Testing, Skin Testing and QFT Blood Testing
(PDF)
- • Chest X-ray
- • Medical Evaluation for TB by a physician
- • Treatment for active TB disease
- • Treatment for Latent TB Infection
- • Sputum Induction
- • Social Services and Referrals
- • Nursing Care including Counseling, Patient
Teaching, Medication Administration
- • Blood drawing prior to starting medication or
following medication
- • Telephone Nursing Monitoring
- • HIV Counseling and Testing
- • Patient Incentives
- • Travel Reimbursement
- • TB Clearance for Work or School
- • Directly Observed Therapy
- • Home Visit
- • Phone call if the patient does not keep the
appointment for return visit to the clinic
- • Appointment reminder call before patient
visits the clinic
- • Follow-up call after missed appointment
- • Home visit for abnormal test result if unable to reach patient
