Program Specific Projects (PSP)
- • Project Materials
- • All included adult mental health treatment programs and participating MR/DD clinic programs will have the opportunity to create a program specific project in lieu of selecting one of the two structured CQI priority projects.
- • Programs that choose a program specific project will be required to identify a genuine and quantifiable problem in an area of service delivery and to identify one or more short-term, evidence-based interventions to address that problem. They will be required to make their evidence base explicit (i.e., cite the literature).
- • Like the priority projects, the a program specific project must be data driven. Programs will be required to present baseline data as well as outcome data. The latter will be compared to realistic, but challenging targets that programs will have identified at the beginning of the project. This comparison will enable programs to determine whether their interventions have been successful.

Performance Improvement Indicators
This document includes performance indicators that have been successfully used in DMH Quality IMPACT CQI Priority Projects between FY05 and FY09. The indicators have been used in mental health (MH), drug and alcohol, and mental retardation/ developmental disabilities (MR/DD) treatment programs. The appendix includes additional performance indicators that have been proposed for various program types, but not implemented.
