WHAT:	The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) will host the third annual Excellence in Health Mental Hygiene Awards, honoring individuals and organizations in New York City that have made significant contributions to the fields of health and mental hygiene. This year DOHMH will recognize the outstanding efforts of people and organizations in the following categories: Advocacy Joseph Cherner Calvin & Era Fischetti Media Coverage New York 1 Medical Provider Harold Freeman Mental Hygiene Service Providers Builders for Family and Youth Contemporary Guidance Services, Inc. Early Start Hamilton Madison House Scholarship Don Des Jarlais
WHO:	Presiding over the awards ceremony will be New York City Deputy Mayor of Policy, Dennis Walcott, and Health and Mental Hygiene Commissioner Thomas Frieden.
WHEN:	Tonight, Wednesday, December 11, 5:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Program begins promptly at 6:15 P.M.
