BOARD OF HEALTH TO MEET ON THURSDAY, MARCH 6, 2008

NEW YORK CITYMarch 4, 2008 – Notice is hereby given that the Board of Health will hold a meeting on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 10:00 A.M.  The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 125 Worth Street, Third Floor Boardroom, in lower Manhattan.

  1. Resolution to repeal and reenact Article 1 of the NYC Health Code.  Notice was published  in the City Record on January 25, 2008. A public hearing was held on February 28, 2008.  No written comments were received and no one testified.

  3. Resolution to amend Article 81 of the New York City Health Code, adding a new Section 81.12 to enable food service establishments to use cook chill and sous vide packaging processes; and amending Section 81.06 to add requirements for HACCP plans.  Notice was published in the City Record on October 26, 2007.  A public hearing was held on November 27, 2007.  Three written comments were received and eight people testified.

Resolution to repeal and reenact Article 47 of the New York City Health  Code affecting child care services, updating provisions applicable to the operation of  such services in New York City.  Notice was published in the City Record on October 30, 2007. A public hearing was held on December 3, 2007.  Twenty-six written comments were received and fourteen people testified.
