MEDIA ADVISORY: BOARD OF HEALTH TO MEET ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 2006

NEW YORK CITY – September 23, 2006 - Notice is hereby given that the Board of Health will hold a meeting on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 10:00AM. The meeting will be held at 125 Worth Street, Third Floor Boardroom, in lower Manhattan.

NEW YORK CITY HEALTH CODE
  1. Resolution to amend various sections of Article 175 of the NYC Health Code to maintain consistency with applicable federal and state regulatory requirements (e.g., NRC, FDA, NYSDOH); and to update requirements regarding clinical usage of x-ray equipment and protocols. Notice was published in the City Record on June 21, 2006. A public hearing was held on July 26, 2006. No one testified and one written comment was received.

  2. Proposed resolution to amend various provisions in Articles 11 and 49 of the New York City Health Code to allow use of blood-based tuberculosis diagnostic tests in addition to tuberculin skin tests.
