LARVICIDE APPLICATION BY HELICOPTER SCHEDULED FOR MARSH AND WETLAND AREAS OF STATEN ISLAND
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) announced today that it will apply larvicide for mosquito control by helicopter to marsh areas of Staten Island. The larvicide will be applied on Tuesday, July 26 through Thursday, July 28, between the hours of 6:00 A.M. – 9:00 P.M., weather permitting.

DRINKING WATER ADVISORY LIFTED
Tests for pathogens in the drinking water conducted over the past 24 hours have proved to be within normal limits. As planned, Health Commissioner Thomas R. Frieden, MD, MPH lifted the advisory that was issued yesterday to immune compromised New Yorkers. Potentially affected water has run its course through the City’s water supply.
