NYCAP Committees and Committee Goals
The New York City Asthma Partnership is made of up of four committees that focus on specific topics, or sectors that impact asthma, and two committees focused on NYCAP's organizational aspects.
Steering Committee
Manages overall planning and organizational policy setting for NYCAP.
Community Asthma Education Committee
Aims to further the mission of NYCAP as an advocate for asthma prevention and control in New York City by focusing its efforts on education in the community setting.
Early Childhood Committee
Works to address asthma in group day care, pre-kindergarten and Head Start programs.
Environment Committee
Works to identify, prioritize, and address major indoor and outdoor air pollutants contributing to asthma in NYC.

Data and Surveillance Committee
Facilitates collection, analysis, and dissemination of data related to asthma in New York City.

Health Care Delivery Committee
Works to improve the health care delivery system to facilitate provision of best standards care for asthma in NYC. This committee also works to identify and resolve barriers to health care delivery in NYC.
