Pregnancy Signs

You may be pregnant if:

  • • you had sex and did not use any birth control, even if it was the first time, or only once
  • • your period stops coming every month, or changes in any way
  • • you start to feel dizzy and nauseous
  • • you have to urinate more often than usual
  • • your breasts swell and feel tender
  • • you begin to feel tired often
  • • you get hungrier than usual.

If you think you might be pregnant and want to know for sure:

You can walk in and get a free pregnancy test right in your own borough (for locations, call the Women's Healthline at 311). You don't need an appointment.

You will get:

  • • and immediate pregnancy test result and counseling to make a decision you feel comfortable with;
  • • appointments or referrals for:
    • prenatal care
    • birth control
    • abortion;
  • • complete confidentiality.
