More than 110,000 New Yorkers are living with HIV, but as many as 1 in 5 don't know they are infected. By knowing your HIV status, you can protect yourself, your partners, and, if you're pregnant or planning pregnancy, your baby. Many agencies throughout New York City offer free and low-cost HIV testing services. HIV tests that are available for purchase from retailers, such as drug stores and pharmacies, allow consumers an additional option to test themselves for HIV.
This page provides information about commercially available HIV self-test kits.
