Register for a Summer Camp Orientation Session
Summer camps should be a great experience for children and are often a necessity for working parents. The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene regulates summer camps in New York City. The Department requires that Summer Camps are permitted and inspected every year. This directory includes summer camps that received permits from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene last summer.

The Department does not endorse any of the camps in this directory; it is merely a list to help you find a camp convenient to your home or work. The Department recommends that you research and visit the camp to see if it will meet your needs (i.e., trips, activities, swimming, sports, and special needs). Camps that were closed by the Department during this past summer are not listed, and some of the camps listed may not operate this summer.
