Medicaid Managed Care

Medicaid managed care, including the implementation of the mandatory program, is administered and monitored under the Division of Health Care Access and Improvement (HCAI). This includes executing contracts and contract amendments with the Medicaid managed care plans; reviewing, assessing, and monitoring the plans' performance; and enforcing the terms and conditions of these contracts.

HCAI also offers education, training, and technical assistance on the program requirements to providers, community organizations, and to designated health plan staff.
