Epidemiology Services is dedicated to collecting, analyzing and communicating data to monitor and improve the health of New Yorkers. We use traditional and innovative methods to provide accurate and timely health data and thoughtful analyses to inform decision-making both within and outside of DOHMH. The bureau uses a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to serve and respond to the changing needs of New York City's diverse population.

research, consultation and training
- Enhance surveillance activities to ensure a timely
and focused response to ongoing public health issues and emergencies
- Collect, analyze and disseminate public health data specific to New York City

user-friendly system for simple data analysis with the Community Health
Survey, hospitalization data (SPARCS), Census 2000 and the Youth Risk Behavior
Survey (YRBS)

- Frequently Asked Questions: Answers on both the Community Health Survey and NYC Interactive Health Data (EpiQuery)
