The Healthy Homes Hardware Store Campaign educates contractors, landlords, homeowners, tenants, and do-it-yourselfers on safe work practices and product safety. The Campaign distributes information on how to correct and prevent home health hazards, such as lead paint hazards, asthma triggers, poisons, pesticides and harmful cleaning products, through member hardware and paint stores citywide. Currently over 400 stores participate in the campaign.
Free brochures and fact sheets are available in English, Spanish and Chinese. For more information, or to request bulk orders of the publications, please call 311 or 212-BAN-LEAD (226-5323).
