Public Hearing for the 2007 NYC Local Government Plan for Mental Health Services
The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is inviting testimony regarding NYC’s public mental health services system.

- Interested individuals are invited to present oral or written testimony:
- Oral testimony (limited to 4 minutes) requires pre-registration; please
call (212) 219-5365 by 4/21/06. One written copy of the testimony must be
submitted at the hearing.
- Written testimony can be submitted in lieu of oral testimony by: e-mailing to ramols@health.nyc.gov; sending by U.S. Postal Service to Rachel Miller, DOHMH, 93 Worth Street, Room 715, NY, NY 10013 by 4/26/06; or by submitting a copy at the hearing.
- We suggest that testimony address the following questions:
- What unmet needs and/or obstacles -- by service
type, specific population or geographic area -- exist?
- What aspects of the service system are working
well, and should be expanded?
- What changes would improve the system?
- What priority issues need government attention?
- Interpretation services will be made available, at no
