Vital Statistics : NYC DOHMH

Vital Statistics

2010 Summary of Vital Statistics

The Summary of Vital Statistics is published every year and includes our most recent statistics. This year’s Executive Summary presents 10 years of New York City vital data trends. It captures important changes in population characteristics, causes of death, pregnancy outcomes, and infant mortality.

For the first time, the Summary of Vital Statistics is issued in 3 separate reports, each dedicated to specific New York City vital events:

The Infant Mortality report contains some new and revised figures and tables and new 2010 vital data summarizing 10 year changes in rates by important demographic characteristics.

The Population and Mortality and Pregnancy Outcomes reports remain similar in content to those published previously, but with new up to date information on NYC’s 2010 vital events.
