Borough,
Block and Lot (BBL)
Every parcel of land in New York City has been assigned a set of 3 numbers that comprise its Borough, Block, and Lot (BBL) designation. BBLs are used to identify parcels of land for tax and other purposes. If you do not know your property’s BBL number, search for BBL by address.
Dividing
(Apportioning) & Merging Lots
Finance's Surveyor must approve plans to split or combine properties.
Tax
Maps
The official tax maps for the City of New York are maintained by the Surveyor.
Real Property Income and Expense
(RPIE)
Owners of income producing properties with assessments over $40,000 are required to file annual income and expense statements electronically with Finance, unless they are specifically exempt.
