Taxi & Limousine Commission Payment Plans
Eligibility
To be eligible for a payment plan, individuals or business owners who owe large debts in Taxi & Limousine Commission fines must live or operate in the five boroughs
Requirements
You must have an appointment to meet with a Finance representative about a Taxi and Limousine payment plan. You will be required to submit a Financial Statement. You may also be asked to provide one or more of the following items to document your sources of income:
- Proof of employment (two recent pay stubs);
- Copies of the front and back of two cancelled salary
checks paid to you by your employer;
- Photo ID (for example, a valid driver’s license);
- Current insurance and registration (always required
to redeem towed vehicles); and
- Business certificate accompanied by tax Form 1099 or Form 1040 with Schedule C.
Call the Collections Call Center at 212-440-5483 to make an appointment. A Finance representative will meet with you on the 2nd floor, Window #4 at 66 John Street, New York, NY 10038. Payment Plans will not be issued at Window 4 without an appointment.
You are also required to make a down payment on the amount you owe. Individuals and business owners with an outstanding balance of $500 or less will be required to make a 50% down payment and pay the remaining balance within 45 days. For balances of $501 or more, a 50% down payment will be required and subsequent payment installments will be determined during the interview.
