Parking Requirements for Public Garages and Lots
New York City requires public parking garages and lots to provide at least one bicycle parking space for every ten car parking spaces. Public parking operators seeking to renew their licenses at the Department of Consumer Affairs may apply for a waiver from the Buildings Department if compliance violates existing zoning regulations for their garage.
