On Thursday, January 18, 2006, Buildings Commissioner Patricia J. Lancaster, FAIA, was awarded as the Visionary of the Year at the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Annual Awards of Excellence Dinner. The award is given to an individual whose vision captures people’s imagination, inspiring others to create a better environment in New York City. IFMA is an association of workplace professionals engaged in the design, construction, and management of the built environment.
