Commissioner Rick Chandler Appointed
The NYC Department of Buildings is excited to welcome incoming Commissioner Rick Chandler!
Chandler is a professional engineer and Assistant Vice President of Facilities at Hunter College. He has large-scale management experience, a thorough understanding of the NYC Construction Codes and Zoning Resolution, and a record of harnessing technology to improve the efficiency of government operations. Chandler served in the Department of Buildings as Borough Commissioner in our Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx offices from 1995 to 2002.
