Limited Alteration Applications
	The following licensees may submit a LAA1 Application: Licensed Plumbers Licensed Fire Suppression Piping Contractors Licensed Oil Burner Installers LAA1 Application & Instructions LAA1 applications can be filed electronically through the NYC Development Hub, by mail or in person to: Limited Alteration Application / Permit Renewal Unit New York City Department of Buildings 280 Broadway, 5th Floor New York, NY 10007 9am - 4pm (M - F) Notification Applicants who submit their applications electronically will be notified of approval immediately online, applicants who submit their applications in person will be notified of approval in person and applicants who submit their applications by mail will be notified of approval by mail. Preference for notification must be indicated on the LAA1 form upon submission. Work cannot begin without an approved LAA1.
