The 2014 NYCECC is expected to go into effect January 1, 2015. Please visit our website regularly for updated information.

To meet the City’s goal of reducing greenhouse emissions by 80% by 2050 – known as “80 by 50” – the New York City Energy Conservation Code (NYCECC) sets energy-efficiency standards for new construction and alterations to existing buildings. Jobs filed on or after January 1, 2015 will be reviewed under the 2014 NYCECC. All completed job applications filed on or before December 31, 2014 can continue to be reviewed under the 2011 NYCECC. Incomplete job applications filed on or before December 31, 2014 will be reviewed under the 2014 NYCECC.
