“Today’s decision clears the way to implement the independent panel’s final recommendation to fix the shelter system’s broken ‘front door.’ This is a common sense response to a long-standing problem, which has diverted resources and staff attention from families most in need. We’re going to move forward cautiously as we implement the panel’s final recommendation and continue improving results for at-risk and homeless families. We thank the court for today’s decision and for recognizing the progress we’ve made in reforming the family intake system.”
