What If I Disagree With A SCRIE Decision?

Applicants who wish to challenge a decision the SCRIE Office has made may file an Administrative Appeal. An Appeal form may be obtained by calling 311, or online (See Forms Menu). Complete the Appeal form and attach a copy of the Order or decision you are appealing. Your Appeal should be postmarked no later than 60 days after the date of the Order. Send it to the SCRIE Administrative Appeals Unit, New York City Department for the Aging, 2 Lafayette Street, 6th Floor, New York, NY 10007.

DFTA will notify you if more information is needed. In some cases, a hearing may be scheduled. After the facts are evaluated, you will be notified of the decision regarding your Appeal.
