Rate Increase Outside New York City
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to Section 1045-j(3)
of the Public Authorities Law, that after a public hearing held on
June 6, 2000, in accordance with the provisions of such law, the New
York City Water Board (the "Board") has, at its meeting
held on June 22, 2000, adopted a resolution providing for the following
rate increases, which will become effective July 1, 2000:

The regulated rate for water supply, from either the Croton or
Catskill/Delaware systems, provided to users outside the City of
New York (the "City") will be increased from $383.78 per
million gallons ("MG") to $414.37 per MG.

The rate for water supply provided to users outside of the City
which exceeds the allowance quantities of water set forth in Section
24-360 of the Administrative Code of the City shall be continued
at a level equal to the in-City metered rate of $1,751.34 per MG
as of July 1, 2000.
The rate increases will take effect July 1, 2000. A copy of the revised
Rate Schedule is available for inspection by the public during regular
business hours at the offices of the New York City Water Board, 59-17
Junction Boulevard, 8th Floor, Corona, NY 11368.
