CEQR Technical Manual Update

In 1993 the Mayor's Office of Environmental Coordination (MOEC) and City agencies compiled the City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) Technical Manual. The CEQR Technical Manual is intended to assist and guide agencies, project sponsors, and the public in understanding CEQR. The Manual provides a detailed discussion of environmental review in New York City and presents methodologies for the CEQR process.

The Technical Manual is being reviewed and updated in 2001. MOEC is coordinating this effort. The update relies upon the expertise of many city agencies. The goal of this process is to streamline the CEQR Technical Manual and to revise it so that it reflects current practices, procedures, analytical techniques, and applicable regulations for environmental review in the City.

The CEQR Technical Manual is not available on line. If you have any comments or recommended changes to the CEQR Technical Manual, please send them to CEQR Technical Manual Project Manager, Mayor's Office of Environmental Coordination, 100 Gold Street, 2nd Floor, New York, New York 10038 by June 1, 2001. MOEC will give your comments due consideration. Copies are available for review at MOEC during business hours, by appointment.
