Ashokan Reservoir Dividing Weir to Be Closed For Road Resurfacing

Reservoir Road over the Dividing Weir at the Ashokan Reservoir will be closed from August 30 at 6:00 AM to September 1 at 6:00 PM for road resurfacing.  Emergency response vehicles such as police, fire trucks and ambulances will be allowed to pass.

The detour for traffic headed northbound for Shokan will be Route 28A East or West to Route 28.  Southbound vehicles headed towards Olive Bridge will use Route 28 East or West to Route 28A.  Detour signs will be posted. 

The road resurfacing has been coordinated with Ulster County and with the New York State Department of Transportation.  Local authorities have also been notified.
