South Kortright Central School to Host Students from P.S. 133 in Queens

Fourth graders from P.S. 133 in Bellerose, Queens, will be traveling to South Kortright Central School as part of a year-long study program about the watershed area.  Activities will include identifying macroinvertebrates and stream exploration.  The students will also join for the release of trout they have raised in their classroom as part of the “Trout in the Classroom” educational program.

On Tuesday, the students will go to Frost Valley to learn more about the importance of the watershed and other environmental issues.

Students from South Kortright Central School visited Queens in May.  The two classes have been communicating throughout the year with monthly pen pal letters.
