Women's History Month – Linda Greene
Linda Greene has devoted much of her life to helping others. A school crossing guard with the Board of Education prior to her work at DEP, she is now one of the many public voices of the Agency, working as a Customer Service Representative with the Bureau of Customer Service’s Call Center Helpline. In this position, Linda works with DEP’s 828,000 water customers to make sure that their inquiries are handled courteously, efficiently and in a manner that enhances DEP’s relationship with the public it serves.
Outside of work, Linda gives back to her community, working with local seniors and serving as a mentor to children of all ages. Past work with the Department of Juvenile Justice affirmed her passion for helping children, and one day Linda dreams of starting a community-based program for teenagers. Her advice to the younger generations is to “stay in school, remain steadfast in your goals and don’t let negative world events change your positive outlook on life.” In her professional life, Linda credits her former supervisor and mentor, Zoe Ann Campbell, with encouraging her to remain positive and stay focused on her goals.
