Service Changes

Please note that the G train will be experiencing service changes from July 28, 2014 to September 2, 2014. During this time, G trains will not run between Court Square and Nassau Avenue (See the revised MTA subway map here.)

Travel Directions to the Visitor Center at Newtown Creek

Free shuttle buses, one via Manhattan Ave and one via McGuinness Blvd (the closest stop) will provide alternate service. Take either shuttle bus to Greenpoint Ave. Walk eastward along Greenpoint Ave, crossing McGuinness Blvd and Provost St. The Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant will be on your left. Follow the fence line along Greenpoint Ave until you see the Visitor Center. It is a two-story orange building surrounded by a garden and water sculpture. Please allow additional travel time due to service changes.

Travel Directions to the Newtown Creek Nature Walk

Free shuttle buses, one via Manhattan Ave and one via McGuinness Blvd, will provide alternate service. Take either shuttle bus to Greenpoint Ave. Walk eastward along Greenpoint Ave, crossing McGuinness Blvd and Provost St. Turn left onto Provost Street. Walk eight blocks north (to the end). Turn right onto Paidge Avenue, where the Nature Walk begins. Please allow additional travel time due to service changes.
