2010 New York City Water Resources Art & Poetry Contest

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is pleased to announce the 24th annual Water Resources Art & Poetry Contest for fourth, fifth and sixth grade students. This is an opportunity for New York City students from public, independent and parochial schools to create original art and to compose poetry that reflects an appreciation for New York City's water supply, our wastewater treatment system, and the importance of water conservation.

Here are a few important dates:
Entry Deadline: Friday, March 5, 2010
Award Ceremony: Date to be determined (during the month of May 2010)

2010 Kensico Reservoir Watershed Water Quality Preservation Art, Poetry and Photography Contest

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is pleased to announce their annual Kensico Reservoir Watershed Water Quality Preservation Art, Poetry and Photography Contest for sixth and seventh grade students from schools in the Kensico watershed. Students are encouraged to create original art, compose poetry and submit original photos that reflect an appreciation for New York City’s water supply and the importance of water protection. This year we have added a photography category to offer students an additional medium in which to express their creativity.

Award Ceremony: Date to be determined (during the first full week of May, 2010)
