CAT-252 - Replacement of the Esopus & Route 28A Railroad Bridges

The Esopus Bridge is a 5 span concrete arch bridge carrying Route 28A over the Esopus Creek. The superstructure and substructure require full replacement due to deterioration of the existing concrete. The Route 28A Railroad Bridge is a single span concrete girder—floor beam bridge carrying Route 28A over the old Ulster & Delaware Railroad line. The superstructure and substructure require full replacement due to deterioration of the existing concrete. Both structures are located in the Town of Olive, in Ulster County. This project provides for the full replacement of each structure and for the realignment of the existing road.
