We have a number of assistance and outreach programs, including community meetings, assistance programs, special incentives, and useful brochures.





Home Water Assistance Program
The Home Water Assistance Program is an initiative to make water and sewer bills more affordable for low-income homeowners. DEP partnered with the NYC Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the NYC Department of Finance to select over 50,000 qualified one- to four- family homeowners for a $115.89 non-refundable credit, posted on their water and sewer bill on April 30, 2018.

Multi-family Water Assistance Program
Qualified Housing Preservation and Development or Housing Development Corporation-assisted affordable multi-family housing projects can receive a $250 credit per residential unit on their water and sewer bill(s) on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment is limited.

Water Debt Assistance Program is a new initiative that will temporarily relieve qualified homeowners who are at risk of mortgage foreclosure of past-due water and sewer debt.
