	Bloomingdale Park Staten Island About 38 acres of this 138-acre park in southern Staten Island were adapted to provide ball fields, a meandering bike path, playgrounds and a new comfort station. DDC also completed construction of a new roadway in the area, as well as the creation of two cul-de-sacs in the park. A significant phase of the project was the construction of new sanitary and storm sewers for the area using our Best Management Practices program. This program enforced the project’s goal of environmental sensitivity by using natural rain water runoff elements. This project was honored with New York Construction magazine’s Award of Merit in 2004.
