DDC is accessible by subway, bus, commuter rail, car, or ferry. DDC is easily accessible from all parts of the City, as well as outlying areas. DDC is located in Long Island City, in western Queens - just minutes from Manhattan. Click on any of the types of transportation below to see directions on how to get here. Each time you see a reference to a shuttle bus in this document, be aware that to board any of these free shuttle buses, you will have to show the driver one of the following: (1) a DDC employee badge; (2) a DDC bid packet; (3) an interview letter from DDC's recruitment office; (4) an invitation letter to an agency event, such as those sponsored by DDC's Industry Affairs Program, Training Unit, or Cultural Exchange Program; or a business card and supporting photo identification. The shuttle buses operate from 7:20 am to 7:15 pm, coming about every 15 minutes, and taking up to 10 minutes to arrive at DDC. Please note that the Hunters Point Avenue station of the Long Island Railroad only has morning and evening rush hour shuttle bus service.

Directions by Subway

There are several subway lines with stops near DDC. You can take the 7 train to the 33rd Street/Rawson Street station, the Hunters Point Avenue station, the 45th Road/Court House Square station, or the 7, N or W train to Queensboro Plaza station. You can take the E or the V train to the 23rd Street/Ely Avenue station, or the G train to the Court Square station. You can also take the E, V, G, or R trains to the Queens Plaza station.

7 -- 33 Street/Rawson Street -- Take the 7 train to the 33rd Street/Rawson Street station in Queens. Proceed to the exit marked southwest. When you leave the station, make a right turn and go westward on Queens Boulevard, heading towards the tall blue-green Citicorp building. Continue to walk on Queens Boulevard for 6 blocks. When you reach 30th Place, make a left. On 30th Place you will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. 7 -- Hunters Point Avenue -- Take the 7 train to the Hunters Point Avenue station in Queens. You can either take the free shuttle bus (upon presenting identification) or walk. Keep in mind that the shuttle bus only operates during evening rush hours at this station. If you walk, walk on Skillman Avenue towards the building with the red IDCNY sign on it. Make a right onto 47th Avenue, and a left onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. 7 -- 45 Road/Court House Square -- Take the 7 train to the 45th Road/Court House Square station in Queens. When you exit the station, walk towards the tall blue-green Citicorp Building, to 44th Drive. Make a right turn onto 44th Drive. At this point you can choose to take the free shuttle bus (upon presenting identification), or walk. To take the shuttle bus, wait by the top of the escalator at the entrance to the subway station at the base of the Citicorp Building. The shuttle bus comes approximately every 15 minutes. If you walk, continue on 44th Drive. You will see a park at the intersection of Jackson and Thomson Avenues. Cross to the park. Continue to walk towards the building with the red IDCNY sign on it until you have crossed an overpass. After the overpass, continue in the same direction for two more blocks. 7/N/W -- Queensboro Plaza -- Take either the 7 or the N train to the Queensboro Plaza stop in Queens. Walk on Queens Boulevard, away from the Queensboro Bridge, and over the rail yards. Make a right onto Van Dam Street. Make another right onto Thomson Avenue. Make a left onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. E/V -- 23 Street/Ely Avenue -- Take the E or the V train to the 23rd Street/Ely Avenue station in Queens. Head for the main exit, 44th Drive/Court Square, which has a glass enclosure on top of it (do not enter the building, use the escalators to exit to the street). Once you have left the station, you can either take the free shuttle bus to DDC (upon presenting identification) or walk. If you take the shuttle bus, you should wait for it by the top of the escalator. The shuttle bus comes approximately every 15 minutes. If you walk, walk away from the elevated tracks. You will see a park at the intersection of Jackson and Thomson Avenues. Cross to the park. Continue to walk towards the building with the red IDCNY sign on it until you have crossed an overpass. After the overpass, continue in the same direction for two more blocks. Make a right onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. G -- Court Square -- Take the G train to the Court Square station in Queens. Proceed to the main exit, 44th Drive/Court Square, which has a glass enclosure on top of it (do not enter the building, use the escalators to exit to the street). Once you have left the station, you can either wait by the top of the escalator for the free shuttle bus to DDC (upon presenting identification) or walk. If you walk, walk away from the elevated subway tracks. You will see a park at the intersection of Jackson and Thomson Avenues. Cross to the park. E/V/G/R -- Queens Plaza -- Take either the E, V, G, or R trains to the Queens Plaza station in Queens. Walk on Queens Boulevard, away from the Queensboro Bridge, and over the rail yards. Directions by Bus

The DDC area is well served by buses. There are three lines with stops convenient to our building: the Q32 and Q60 at Skillman Avenue, the Q32 and Q60 at 33rd Street, and the Q39 on Thomson Avenue.

Q32/Q60 -- Queens Boulevard and Skillman Avenue -- Take either of these lines to Queens Boulevard and Skillman Avenue. Walk southward on Skillman Avenue (the blue-green Citicorp building and the rail yards should be on your right). At the first intersection (Thomson Avenue) make a left. Walk for one block and make a right onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. Q32/Q60 -- Queens Boulevard and 33 Street -- Take either of these lines to Queens Boulevard and 33rd Street. Walk westward (towards the blue-green Citicorp building). Continue walking for 5 blocks. Directions by Rail

DDC is served by the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). The LIRR stops at the Hunters Point Avenue station, and the Long Island City station. For schedule and fare information, call (718) 217-LIRR., or visit http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/lirr/

LIRR -- Hunters Point Avenue -- At the Hunters Point Avenue station, you can take the free shuttle bus (upon presenting identification), or walk. Keep in mind that the shuttle bus only operates during rush hours at this station. If you walk, walk up Skillman Avenue towards the building with the red IDCNY sign on top. Make a right onto 47th Avenue, and a left onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. LIRR -- Long Island City -- Take the LIRR to the Long Island City station. Walk on Vernon Boulevard. Make a right onto Jackson Avenue. Make another right onto 49th Avenue. Here you can take the free shuttle bus (upon presenting identification), or continue to walk. If you continue to walk, walk on Skillman Avenue, the first intersection after the rail yard. Walk towards the building with the red IDCNY sign on top. Make a right onto 47th Avenue, and a left onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. Directions by Car

To get to DDC by car we recommend using the the driving directions feature at mapquest.com. However, parking space near DDC is tight and taking public transportation to DDC is thus strongly encouraged.

Directions by Ferry

You can take NY Waterway's Hunterspoint Ferry, from midtown Manhattan to DDC. However, please note that the ferry has a limited operating schedule. For schedule and fare information, call 1-800-53-FERRY (3377) or visit http://www.nywaterway.com. NY Waterway is privately owned and operated.

NY Waterway -- Hunterspoint Ferry -- Get off the ferry on Borden Avenue in Queens. You can either take the free shuttle bus (upon presenting identification) to DDC or walk. Keep in mind that the shuttle bus only operates during morning and evening rush hours at this station. If you walk, walk on Borden Avenue. Make a left onto Vernon Boulevard. Make a right onto Jackson Avenue. Make another right onto 49th Avenue. Walk onto Skillman Avenue, which is the first intersection after the rail yard. Walk towards the building with a red IDCNY sign on top. Turn right onto 47th Avenue. Make a left onto 30th Place. You will see a red skywalk connecting two buildings. Where to Park If You Drive

New York City operates two large Municipal parking lots less than a 1/2 mile away from DDC. One lot is located at Court Square, one block away from where the free IDCNY shuttle bus stops. To take the shuttle bus, wait by the top of the escalator at the entrance to the subway station at the base of the Citicorp building. The other is a park and ride lot at Queens Plaza, from which you can walk to DDC. For information about the Municipal lots, visit DOT's Web site.

There are also a limited number of 12-hour parking meter street spaces nearby.

Edison Parkfast operates one parking lot in the immediate vicinity of the building. For information about rates and availability, call (888) 727-5327.

LaGuardia Commuter Parking also operates a parking lot less than a block away from DDC. For information about rates and availability call (718) 707-0403.
