September 9, 2009
CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING

For the convenience of members of the public planning to testify at the September 9, 2009 hearing, information relating to the progress of the hearing and starting time estimates will be available the day of the hearing on our website, www.nyc.gov/planning. Please note that this information will reflect our best approximation of starting times, and in no way represent an official termination time for the prior hearing.

The Commission is committed to hearing from everyone who wishes to speak. There are no time limits on the length of each specific hearing and the Commission will hear everyone who has signed up to speak on each item before moving on to the next one. In keeping with Commission protocol, speakers will each be limited to three minutes to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to speak and is afforded equal time.

In order to ensure that all members of the public have the opportunity to testify, please abide by the following guidelines:

  • If you wish to speak, you must fill out a speaker's slip that will be available at Spector Hall on Wednesday, September 9, 2009.
  • In accordance with the Commission's standard policy, elected officials will be called first. Testimony will then be taken in the order slips are submitted, alternating every 30 minutes between those speaking in support and those in opposition.
  • All testimony must be limited to 3 minutes. Only members of the Commission may question speakers.
  • So testimony can proceed smoothly, the chair will call several speakers at a time. Please listen for your name. When you hear your name called, if you are not already seated in Spector Hall, please enter.
  • Before you begin to speak, please identify yourself and the name of the organization you are representing, if any. If you have any written testimony, please give it to the secretary.
  • Please be courteous and allow all speakers to complete their testimony without interruption.
If you do not wish to speak, you can mail your testimony to:
