Data Descriptions
:
The reports contain some or all of the following data for each application:

Sample Status Report

A. APPLICATION# - A unique identification number assigned by the Department of City Planning when the application is submitted to DCP.

The Application Number consists of three parts.

1. A one-character alphabetic code (aka “Prefix”) which identifies the application’s general status or type. Prefix codes are: C = Certified; I = Incomplete; N = Non-ULURP; M = Modification

2. A six- to eight-character unique number (followed by a space); and

3. A two-character PDF Document Application Type code, followed by a one-character borough code.

Borough codes are:
X = Bronx; K = Brooklyn; M = Manhattan; Q = Queens;
R = Staten Island; Y = Citywide or more than one borough.

B. (Land Use Application) REC’D - The date on which a Land Use Application was received at the Department of City Planning and assigned an application number.

C. (CEQR#) - The unique number assigned to the City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR) Application related to the Land Use Application.

D. (CEQR) REC’D - The date on which the CEQR application was received at the Department of City Planning and assigned a CEQR Number.

E. PROJECT NAME - A name by which the project is known.

F. RELATED ACTIONS - The application number(s) of active related Land Use Application(s).

G. CD(S) - The three-character code(s) indicating the borough and community district (CD) where the proposed action is located. The first character is the borough code and the next two characters identify the applicable community district within the borough. A CD number of "00" represents a borough-wide application. PDF DocumntView a listing of neighborhoods in each community district.

H. LOCATION - The primary address or identifying locale of the project as it appears on the Land Use Application form.

I. BLOCKS / LOTS - The tax block and/or tax lot number(s) that are the subject of the Land Use Application.

J. APPLICANT - The name(s) of the applicant (individual or organization) and/or the name of the applicant’s representative. If both names are present, they are separated by a slash.

K. REPRESENTATIVE - The name of the applicant's representative.

L. DESCRIPTION - A brief description of the requested action and/or proposed project.

M. ZONING SECTIONS - The applicable Zoning Resolution section number(s) for a zoning application.

N. ZONING MAPS - The number(s) of the Zoning Map(s) showing the location of the proposed project.

O. MILESTONE/DATE - The key steps or milestones achieved to date in the application review process and the dates on which they were achieved. If a “date range” follows a milestone, it represents the start and end dates of a particular stage in the formal review process as determined by the City Charter. For more information about mandated ULURP review periods, read the ULURP Review Process.

"Application Under Review" indicates that the application may not be complete, including any required environmental assessment, and has not yet been certified or referred for the formal public review process.

Important Considerations for ‘Citywide’ Status Reports:
The “Citywide” report contains only Land Use Applications that involve the entire city; i.e., the community district (CD) numbers in these applications are either equal to ‘A00’ or all boroughwide CD numbers: ‘X00’, ‘K00’, ‘M00’, ‘Q00’, and ‘R00’. Borough Codes are:

X = Bronx; K = Brooklyn; M = Manhattan; Q = Queens; R = Staten Island; A = Citywide

“Citywide” applications are not displayed in the individual CD Status Reports.

Applications affecting more than one CD or more than one borough (but are not citywide) are displayed in each applicable CD Report. For example, a Land Use Application that is applicable to all Manhattan and the Bronx appears in both the Manhattan and Bronx CD 00 reports. An application that affects CD 01 in the Bronx and CD 11 in Manhattan appears in both CD reports.
