On January 30, 2007 a public scoping meeting was held for the proposed Hospital for Special Surgery Expansion. Comments were accepted at the meeting and for ten days following the meeting. A final scope of work was issued on April 3, 2008. Final Scope of Work (4.9 mb)


On April 4, 2008, the New York City Department of City Planning, on behalf of the City Planning Commission as lead agency, issued a Notice of Completion for a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Hospital for Special Surgery Expansion.  A public hearing on the DEIS will be announced at a later date.
