Transit Improvements
Public transit is abundant in Downtown Brooklyn and the proposed zoning will require new developments to incorporate adjoining station entrances. The city is committed to continue working with the MTA to allocate funds and coordinate planning, design and construction for key station upgrades, to create an attractive new transit gateway at Jay Street and Lawrence Street to capitalize on the connection of IND and BMT subway lines slated for construction in 2008.
