Use the links below to download the DCPLION geographic base file of New York City streets. This file was generated from the 09B release of the Department of City Planning's LION file which is used in conjunction with other data files in the generation of the Geosupport System (see the Geosupport Desktop Edition). For the previous LION release, 09A, see the BYTES of the BIG APPLE archive.
As of the previous DCPLION release (08B), the ESRI versions are released as File Geodatabases that can only be used with ArcGIS version 9.2 or higher. In addition to the data, the geodatabase also includes two pre-built address locators that can be used out-of-the-box, with no steps to set them up. The ESRI version also comes with several layer files for viewing the data, including a new Street Name Label layer and a Street Direction Arrows layer.
Notice To Users:
This will the last release that LION will be offered in ArcGIS 9.2 version. Future releases LION will be provided in ArcGIS 9.3 File Geodatabase version.
