  • To request a zoning verification letter:

  • On request, the Department of City Planning will verify in writing the zoning district(s) in which a property is located. Requests for official Zoning Verification letters should be made in writing, and should include the address, borough, tax block and lot(s) of the property and your contact information in case we have a question. The fee for a zoning verification request is $110.00 for each separate property; however, a property comprised of multiple contiguous tax lots is treated as a single request.

    The letter should be sent to the Zoning Division, Attention: Jean Davis, NYC Department of City Planning, 22 Reade Street, #3E, New York, NY 10007. A check should be made out to the New York City Department of City Planning.
