Richard W. Eaddy, Commissioner

Richard W. Eaddy was appointed to the New York City Planning Commission in July 2002 by Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg.

He also serves as a Senior Managing Director at Studley in its development advisory practice — a practice that works with brokerage teams company-wide enhancing their consulting capabilities. His years of experience in the development and municipal arenas provide him with a keen understanding of the development process and how to navigate through its complexities.

Richard has more than 20 year of experience in development and consulting, 10 years of which were spent with New York State and city government agencies.  Prior to forming E T Partners—a real estate development and consulting firm he co-founded in 2003—he held numerous positions including: CFO of L & M Equity Participants Ltd; deputy project manager at FSM East River Associates; deputy borough president of the Bronx; executive director/CEO of Harlem CDC; director of real estate development at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), director of finance of the New York City Housing Partnership, and development manager at Olympia & York.

Richard began his real estate career as a consultant to the Battery Park City Authority and as a project coordinator at North General Hospital, heading up its housing program.  Mr. Eaddy earned a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University and a Master of Science in real estate development from Columbia University.  Richard also serves on the board of the United Nations Development Corporation and numerous other boards and civic organizations.
