Angela Cavaluzzi, Commissioner
Angela Cavaluzzi, an architect, was appointed to the City Planning Commission by the Manhattan Borough President C. Virginia Fields in 2000.
Prior to her service on the Commission, Ms. Cavaluzzi was Director of Land Use for the Manhattan Borough President where she oversaw policy related to planning and development, advised the Borough President on land use implications related to the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP), and provided technical assistance for planning and economic development studies in the Borough of Manhattan. Previously, Ms. Cavaluzzi was a member of the Land Use Committee staff of the City Council.
Ms. Cavaluzzi entered public service with private sector experience as a Senior Designer at the New York City-based national architectural firm of Ehrenkrantz, Eckstut, & Kuhn where her specialty was large-scale, mixed-use projects. She was also a designer at the architectural firm of Harwood K. Smith and Partners in Dallas, Texas.
Ms. Cavaluzzi holds a Masters degree in architecture and urban design from Columbia University.
