Irwin G. Cantor, Commissioner
 Irwin G. Cantor was first appointed to the New York City Planning Commission in May 1994 by former Queens Borough President Clair Schulman. Mr. Cantor is an internationally-recognized expert in the design and construction of major office buildings, high-rise apartment buildings, and institutional structures.
Since 1998, Mr. Cantor has served as President of Irwin G. Cantor PE. From 1992 through 1998, he acted as Chief Executive Officer of The Cantor Seinuk Group, as CEO of the Office of Irwin G. Cantor from 1971 through 1992, and as Principal at Hertzberg & Cantor from 1960 -1971. Mr. Cantor has received the Leader of Industry Award (2000, 1987) the Townsend Harris Medal (1995), and the Human Relations Award (1987).
