Materials for the Arts provides volunteer opportunities for individuals, businesses, and community organizations. Volunteers at MFTA directly serve New York City's artistic and educational communities by performing tasks in the warehouse. Corporate team-building opportunities are also available.

A great way for creative-minded people to show they care about the arts and the environment.

 

We have fun, hands-on volunteering opportunities available for corporate groups, schools, and clubs.

   

WAREHOUSE HELPERS

 

SHOPPING HELPERS

Help sort and display a variety of donated materials in our warehouse.

 

Get to know our 4,200 recipient groups while they pick up supplies.

P-Credit (+30) Courses:
Learn how free supplies from Materials for the Arts can be creatively reused to make engaging projects for lessons in all content areas. During these studio-style courses, teachers focus on developing lesson plans, aligned with the Arts Blueprint and Common Core Standards for their own students.
