CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT FUND
PANELIST NOMINATION FORM
The Department of Cultural Affairs is currently seeking nominations of individuals to serve as panelists for the Cultural Development Fund (CDF) - the agency’s open, competitive, application-based process for awarding grants to eligible organizations throughout the five boroughs. Organizations request programmatic support for cultural activities in New York City and cover a broad range of disciplines including the performing arts (music, theater, dance and multi-disciplinary) and the non-performing arts (architecture and design, craft, film/video/audio, folk arts, humanities, literature, multi-disciplinary, museums, new media, photography, visual arts and other).
CDF Panelists should have knowledge of the Department of Cultural Affairs and the constituency it serves, demonstrate expertise in one or more of the cultural disciplines above, and (for borough-specific panels) be familiar with the cultural community of a specific borough.
In an effort to maintain a high level of integrity and impartiality in its decision-making processes, the agency needs to consider many factors when appointing each seven-member panel. In view of these requirements, the agency may not be able to utilize the services of all the qualified individuals who are nominated in the upcoming application period. Your nomination will be held for two years; panelists often serve on a rotating basis and for no more than two consecutive years.
Nominations for the upcoming application period (Fiscal 2013) must be received by 1. Complete and submit the nomination form below.
2. Email the panel nominee’s current resume to khughes@culture.nyc.gov with the Subject Line: Panel Nomination for First Name Last Name.
