All agencies of New York City government are eligible to participate and receive Public Service Corps interns. The Public Service Corps is a program of the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services, with sponsorship from City agencies, the Federal Work-Study Program, and participating institutions of higher education.
To be eligible for a paid internship, a student must qualify for a Federal Work-Study Program financial aid grant. Eligible students should consult their financial aid office to determine whether or not their institution is affiliated with the Public Service Corps.
Public Service Corp Work-Study applications are available from financial aid officers, Work-Study coordinators, career placement counselors, or employment officers at participating colleges, universities, and law schools. Academic Credit Internship applications are available directly through the Public Service Corps.
